Competition: is there the capacity for us all?

As an industry known for its ability to bounce back, are the good times upon us again or is this just a false reality? With reduced connectivity, rising ticket prices, mergers and acquisitions, environmental pressures and an overcrowded market, is there really the capacity for all operators in such a competitive landscape? What strategies are needed to maintain our industry’s stability and growth and to enable our future success?

This session will be moderated by Vasiliki Christidi, Group General Manager, SKY express and will include contributions from:

Financing the green transition: how will we achieve this?

With the race to decarbonise our industry gaining momentum, the question of how we finance our green transition remains the key issue and a possible stumbling block.  Funding our decarbonisation efforts is a priority for ERA’s airline CEOs, *with the cost of technological research and development essential, in addition to the need for SAF supplies, especially to the regions of Europe reliant on connectivity and air services. If aviation is to actually reach its targets by 2050, what support is needed to help us achieve this and where will the money come from?

This session will be moderated by Simon McNamara, Director Government and Industry Affairs, Heart Aerospace and will include contributions from:

Resource scarcity: is regional aviation the weakest link in the aviation food chain?

As human capital, and the value we place on our workforce, once again takes centre stage for our industry, encouraging the next generation to ensure our industry’s continuity and success is a must. Our sector is not only limited by human resource scarcity, but also by a lack of resources in a multitude of areas including supply chain issues and the availability of aircraft and parts. How can we overcome these challenges and attract the right talent to our industry? Is regional aviation really the weakest link in the aviation food chain?

This session will be moderated by Phillip Ashley-Smith, CEO, PAS Aviation Group and will include contributions from:
