Minutes of EC MDMS public workshop available

21 March 2023: The European Commission (DG MOVE) has shared the minutes of the third public workshop on the Impact Assessment on the Multimodal Digital Mobility Services (MDMS) initiative held on 28 February with the stakeholders.

DG MOVE (Unit B4) opened the workshop on behalf of the European Commission and the consultants – Ricardo and partners – that are undertaking the support study to inform this initiative on MDMS.

The consultant’s presentation included an overview of the study background and its objectives and the definition of MDMS being used for the study (including the different platforms and services covered by the definition), a summary of the current regulatory framework (including the CRS Code of Conduct) and how the previous work Ricardo has conducted on an impact assessment support study will be integrated in the current study.

Ricardo introduced the 23 different policy measures, and how they are integrated into the three policy options. The three policy options were then presented in detail, highlighting the main areas of intervention of each one (to view the policy options in detail, please refer to Ricardo's presentation).

After a Q&A session, stakeholders were asked to vote on a number of questions related to the problem drivers and the policy options. Results are shown in the minutes (for members only)
