Jonathan Hinkles, CEO, Loganair

Jonathan is Chief Executive of Loganair, the UK’s largest regional airline. He joined the airline industry straight from school – intending to work for a couple of years before going to university – but 28 years later, has never made it to uni! His first role was as Commercial Assistant with Gatwick-based CityFlyer Express, and in a career which has then spanned both long-haul and short-haul airlines, he was one of the founding directors of charter airline Astraeus; Managing Director of long-haul low-cost UK airline Zoom; then Commercial Director and Chief Operating Officer of Loganair before spending four years with Virgin Atlantic as Head of Flight Crew and VP Operations & Crewing. He returned to Loganair in June 2016 and is Chief Executive and Accountable Manager for the airline, which employs a team of just over 800 people operating 42 aircraft and serving more UK airports than every other airline combined.
