Conclusions from EASA SAFE 360o 2021
28 June 2021: The 2021 SAFE 360o event brought together leading experts from across the word of aviation safety to examine, discuss, and inform stakeholders on key safety issues. Postponed from 2020 due to the effects of the pandemic, the 2021 edition was held online over three days earlier in June.
Opening with keynotes from EASA’s Patrick Ky (Executive Director) and Luc Tytgat Direct Strategy and Safety Management, the conference saw high-level panel sessions on the new safety landscape, highlighting the risks following the pandemic, overviews on the operational deployment of data4Safety and integrated risk management.
The next two days saw topics addressing aircraft performance data, turnaround safety, approach path management, safe use of airspace, and training effectiveness and competence.
