EASA upgrades website & COVID-19 safety promotion

Passenger Guidelines Checklist.pdf

Launched last week, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has upgraded its website, offering a completely new area with information for air passengers and the general public and enhancements such as notifications, so that visitors can stay informed on new developments.

Users can now choose between EASA Light, aimed at passengers and the general public and EASA Pro, which is targeted at industry professionals and stakeholders. Whilst EASA Light gives high-level information relating to the agency's activities in safety and environmental protection, EASA Pro offers detailed information, containing all reference documents, items of record etc. Through creating an account, you can receive push notifications tailored to your specific areas of interest and be able to personalise your stream to meet your needs.

New safety promotional material is now also becoming available. This work, supported by ERA and with significant input from Luxair alongside other member airlines, has already seen the publication of a checklist aimed to support safety managers in the implementation of the recently-published EASA/ECDC passenger guidelines (attached) which could also be used to help airlines demonstrate to their NAAs that they are compliant. Ongoing comments are welcomed by EASA via

The checklist, as well as promotional white label posters (multi language) highlighting the various measures promoted by the guidelines will also be made available for download on a new community webpage that is in the process of being finalised. It is hoped that this will be available from the end of the June.
